WINDY AUGUST

August is the windy month in eastern Australia. Low pressure cells sweep through the Great Australian Bight. Associated cold fronts reaching up into Victoria and NSW bring regular winds that create wave conditions throughout in the lee of the Great Dividing Range, and to Bunyan. Or at leat that is the theory. Some years the weather patterns stack up the way they are supposed to, some years they don’t.

The Canberra Gliding Club is holding it’s annual wave camp this month 28 August to 3 September, canberragliding.org  and our club is holding the annual Ridge camp at Bendick Murrell 25 -28 August. Ridge Camp Flye

Keep checking this page to see how the moths progresses. Remember to wear your woolly hat.
